ok so on my way home this evening I pass our favorite marquee..as it came into view I saw that it said

a smile came across my face, only to be replaced with a look of disgust when I got close enough to see the rest...

I hope that ALL of my friends and family had a wonderful christmas!

After finally getting into the christmas spirt I headed off to Kerrville to be with my very spoiled niece and nephew(not kidding these kids recieved far to many toys).

It was a good christmas. It was the first christmas that I gave out and recieved nothing. It was very fulfilling. It felt good to be able to give. It's normally backwards I recieve so much form others and hardly ever have anything to give back. It was nice to be on the other end for once.

It is my personal belief that a few years of working "holiday retail" is enugh to make even the merryiest person a bit of a grinch.
As sad as I am to say it. I myself have formed a bit of resentment toward this wonderful time of year. I don't like the irritaded, impatient customers that come in in groups of no less than 50. I really despise the over worked and highly stressed mangers, that far to often take it out on me. I hate the crowds everywhere I go. You can't even run down to the store for just a couple of things with out taking 2 hours. And ofcorse there can't be crowds with out horrible parking. Then best of all just when you think Austin traffic can't get any worse, you find yourself at a stand still on Mopac (or any street for that matter) at 3 o'clock in the afternoon in the middle of the week!!

And as if that all isn't enough, you also have to to find the time in your crazy 80hr work week to go spend 1/2 the years salery on all your loved ones.

Oh who am I kidding. despite all the above I'm a sad sap for Chirstmas.
