Why is it that you either get it or you don't?

My mom and I had a discussion the other day about church. Now if you know me then you know that's most likely not a good idea. What I don't understand is how someone could be so set in their ways that they honestly believe there is no other way to find Jesus than the same exact way they did. You know what...Just because I don't find Jesus in a church building, or by attending 3 services a week doesn't mean I don't have a relationship with my God. And just because I'm more concerned with building lasting relationships than "converting" doesn't mean that I'm doing any less than you.

I know that the way my mother finds God doesn't work for me. Instead of departing ways and running away from the church as a whole I've looked for a new way, something that I can relate to and is relevant in my life. I know there is a God that loves me, and I would be nothing with out Him.
For this alone my mom Should be proud of me.
